Poetry
Not to be Understood
Translated by Mary Ann Caws
In the course of the so dark struggle and the so dark immobility, terror blinding my kingdom, I rose from the winged lions of the harvest to the cold cry of the anemone. I came to the world in the deformity of each being’s chains. We both freed ourselves. I drew from a compatible morality an irreproachable help. Despite a thirst to disappear, I was prodigal in waiting, in valiant faith. No renouncing.

Specifically in dispute is a 420+ acre portion of forest split by Intrenchment Creek, a vein of the South River Watershed.
Judy Fox: Harvest

Her clay sculptures, treated with casein paint, include such oddities as a pair of small broccoli heads, connected by a thick stalk traveling down the middle. The smaller connections between stalk and head create something very like a lung system in dark green. Then there is the pepper taken over by swathes of subtle color, or the parsnip, parted into two segments and painted an off-whiteall are examples of Foxs expertise.
